Service Description
Trauma disrupts and has profound impact on the interdependent needs of individuals as it relates to safety, human connections, and emotional experiences. While living with the threat of COVID-19 individuals and communities have been exposed to adverse events and significant disruptions impacting their psychological, psychical, physiological, and social wellness. For many these disruptions come with significant stress and trauma. Given the primacy of the adult-student relationship and the understanding that relationships are the foundation to healing in adverse times. This workshop aims to equip social workers, educators, counselors with the knowledge and understanding of the effects of trauma and how they can support their community from a trauma-informed perspective.
